What Vendy AI is
Vendy AI is an AI advisor. Answers are generated by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are general information, not professional advice. Confirm laws, licenses, taxes, safety rules and prices with the official source before acting.
What is sent when you ask a question
- Your question and your last few messages in the conversation.
- A snapshot of your MyVendbook data: business name, state, time in business, location names and types, last month's collected and net amounts per location, your revenue-share terms, product names with cost and price, and counts of open tickets and prospects.
- Nothing else. Contact names, phone numbers, emails, uploaded photos and documents, passwords and payment details are never included.
Who receives it
Your request goes through our servers to Anthropic, which provides the AI model and, when enabled, web search. Search queries may be sent to its search providers. We do not sell this data and do not use it for advertising.
Your control
You can switch off sharing of your MyVendbook data with Vendy at any time in Profile & settings > Legal & privacy. When off, Vendy answers general vending questions only. Please do not type sensitive personal information, such as Social Security or bank numbers, into the question box.
Voice input
If you use the microphone button, your browser sends your speech to its own speech-recognition service (Google for Chrome, Microsoft for Edge, Apple for Safari, depending on your browser and device) and returns text to the question box. That audio does not pass through MyVendbook and we do not store it. The text is sent to Vendy AI only when you press Ask. You can type instead, or block microphone access in your browser settings.
Limits and cost controls
We limit how many questions each account can ask per hour and per day to keep the service available and fair.
Logs
We keep short-lived operational logs to run and secure the service. We do not log the content of your questions or Vendy's answers.
